Topics to be discussed

      We plan to discuss the following topics in different sessions of the three days workshop:

1. Seismicity and seismotectonics of north-west to north-east India including Himalayan region

2. Electric, magnetic, and electromagnetic methods employed for precursory studies of earthquakes and volcanoes, generation and propagation mechanism of related signals, and laboratory experiment

3. Seismicity and seismotectonics of north-west to north-east India including Himalayan region

4. Electric, magnetic, and electromagnetic methods employed for precursory studies of earthquakes and volcanoes, generation and propagation mechanism of related signals, and laboratory experiment

5. Geochemical methods including radon and helium emissions

6. Ground and satellite based studies of ionospheric perturbations, GPS based measurements, and phase and amplitude anomalies in subionospheric VLF signals

7. Atmospheric turbulence related to earthquakes and volcanoes, thermal anomalies and latent heat flux

8. Imaging the structure by EM methods, satellite laser ranging, GPS,  radar interferometry

9. Structure and dynamics of the ionosphere and magnetosphere during quiet and active solar conditions,  generation and propagation mechanism of electromagnetic emissions from natural and man –made sources, global electric circuit, space weather.
